Notre Dame Little Crusaders – Basketball Registration Info

Welcome to Notre Dame Little Crusaders Basketball, part of the NDGP Youth Athletics program.
Our mission is to teach, inspire, and prepare young athletes by developing the fundamentals of basketball, while instilling character, confidence, sportsmanship, responsibility, and teamwork — all within a competitive, fun, and faith-based environment. Our goal is to create a positive and structured experience that aligns with the values of Notre Dame Green Pond and supports athletes’ future growth.

Program Overview

Teams compete in leagues across the Lehigh Valley.
Focus on fundamentals used by Notre Dame High School’s varsity basketball programs.
Open to boys in Grades 4–8 and girls in Grades 5–8.
Skill-based evaluations are required for team placement.

Eligibility Requirements
Players must be currently enrolled in a Notre Dame feeder school.
Players must register for, practice with, and actively play on their school’s CYO basketball team. This will be monitored.

Player Evaluations

All players must attend evaluations to determine appropriate team placement based on skill level. Evaluations will include drills and supervised workouts conducted by a neutral third party.
Who:
Boys: Grades 4–8
Girls: Grades 5–8
What to Expect:
Skill-based drills and fundamental assessments
Players grouped by ability after evaluations
When & Where:
Details will be sent via email after registration is complete

Team Structure

Teams are formed based on skill level and number of registered players.
Each team will consist of 10–12 players.
In some cases, players may be double rostered.
CYO basketball takes priority — players must commit to their CYO team’s practices and games.
Full commitment to Little Crusaders games is expected (barring illness or excused absences). Practices will be determined by each teams coach.


League Placement:

Boys Teams:
May compete in the Lehigh Valley Knee Hi League or Lehigh Valley Rising Stars League.
Girls Teams:
Grades 7–8: Colonial League Middle School Division
Grades 5–6: Lehigh Valley Rising Stars League

Coaching Opportunities

All coaches must have updated Diocese of Allentown and Notre Dame High School-required clearances. Coaches will be determined and selected by the Little Crusaders organization.

Cost & Payment Info

Evaluations are free.
Cost per player: $165
(Covers uniforms, gym rentals, referees, league fees, and insurance)
After evaluations:
Players will be notified of team placement and coach assignment.
Parents must confirm participation and submit payment to secure the player’s spot.
