2026 Notre Dame Little Crusaders Football & Cheer

-Learn the football fundamentals utilized by Notre Dame’s Head Football Coach Phil Stambaugh and Notre Dame’s varsity football team.

Little Crusaders compete in the Colonial Youth Football League (CYFL)

The mission of Notre Dame Youth Football is to be an exceptional youth football and cheerleading program for the community. Our focus is on helping our youth develop Character, Sportsmanship, Self Confidence and Learn Responsibility & Teamwork in a competitive environment while gaining a strong sense of community. NDYF provides a structured, safe, and secure environment for the children to learn these life skills. Our goal is to teach the fundamentals of football and cheerleading in an atmosphere that provides a great experience for all.

Practices will be held at Notre Dame High School.

Football Divisions

Rookie Flags – Instructional 4-5 year old (Pre-K & Kindergarten)

Cannot turn age 6 years old before August 1st

Competitive Flags – 6-7 year old (1st & 2nd Grade Students)

Cannot turn age 8 years old before August 1st

Junior Varsity - 100lbs Competitive Tackle (3rd & 4th Grade Students)

Cannot turn age 10 years old before August 1st
Must weigh 100.9 pounds or less to run the ball.
Cannot exceed 130.9 lbs.

Varsity - 120lb – Competitive Level Play (5th & 6th Grade Students)

Cannot turn 13 years old before August 1st.
Must weigh 120.9 pounds or less to run the ball.
Cannot exceed 160.9 lbs.
7th grade players are eligible to play on a 120 lb. team as long as the player does not exceed 100.9 lbs.***
12-year-old players that are in 6th grade (during the current season) are eligible to play at the maximum weight of 160.9. Proof of school grade must be presented to the CYFL. If no documentation is turned in; all 12-year-olds will be considered 7th graders and must meet the 100.9 weight requirement.

The Colonial Youth Football League requires player to submit a copy of their Birth Certificate and Photo ID. Please update a copy of each in the Registration Question page. Or bring copy to the first practice.

Cheerleading:

Pre K to 6th Grade - Our Cheer Teams lead the our Little Crusader fans with pride and spirit at all home and away games.
